Peltoboynkinia tellimoides
One of a genus of 3 species of perennials, this one is native to forested mountains of the island of Honshu in Japan. It is similar in appearance to Darmera peltata.
The yellow, bell-shaped flowers are borne on cymes atop a stalk up to 3 feet in height.
Hardy zones 6 to 8, easy to grow and hardy in Michigan.
Peltoboynkinia wantanabei
Similar to P. tellimoides that is native to the islands of Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan.
